U.S. gamer interest in media adaptations of video games 2021, by generation

As of October 2021, the interest in film, TV or book adaptations of video games is very high amongst gamers in the United States, especially amongst younger generations. While avid gamers are naturally more keen on video game adaptions, Millennials are the most interested group among those surveyed, followed by Generation Z, with approximately 7 out of 10 of the respondents across these groups looking for adaptations of their favorite gaming titles. Baby boomers were the least interested group, with more than half of them having little or no interest at all in these expansions into media.
