Global mobile gamers frequently encountered gender stereotypes like sexualization or partial nudity in mobile gaming as of August 2021. Mobile gamers who identified as LGBTQ+ were more likely to have encountered gender stereotypes than players who identified as women, non-binary, or from diverse backgrounds. When comparing different countries, just over half LGBTQ+ survey respondents from South Korea felt that they had encountered such stereotypes, compared to nine in ten respondents from the United States.

Data for Diverse Gamers was not collected in Germany and South Korea. This category includes respondents who identify as Black, Native, Asian and Pacific Islander, Hispanic and Latinx, Middle Eastern, and other non-white ethnicity in the US, UK and Brazil.
