As of August 2021, mobile players worldwide were more likely to download or make purchases if mobile games featured more representative characters. This aspect was important among mobile players who identified as LGBTQIA+ or from diverse backgrounds in all of the researched countries especially strong among the majority of respondents from Brazil and South Korea. This preference was weaker among women in all of the countries researched while being slightly lowest for all participants from Germany.

Data for Diverse Gamers was not collected in Germany and South Korea. This category includes respondents who identify as Black, Native, Asian and Pacific Islander, Hispanic and Latinx, Middle Eastern, and other non-white ethnicity in the US, UK and Brazil.
