As of August 2021, mobile players worldwide were overall more likely to identify with characters that represented them or people like them in mobile gaming. The general tendency is especially observed in Brazil, whereas diversity representation was especially important for all gamer groups. People who identified as LGBTQIA+ or from diverse backgrounds placed more on representation than women in general, who tended to demand lesser identification towards more specific characters.
