A survey conducted in the United Kingdom in 2022 found that the main reason for reading audiobooks was being able to access audiobooks instantly at any time, with 46 percent of respondents citing this as the primary appeal of the format. Meanwhile, 38 percent read audiobooks because of the convenience of storing books digitally rather than physically.
