The capacity of the global container fleet grew by some 4.5 percent during 2021. It is projected that the growth rate will slow down in 2022, reaching three percent, but accelerate in 2023. It it expected that the world's container fleet capacity will increase by 7.7 percent during 2023 and reach 27.4 million TEUs in January 2024.
