In 2023, 7,049 individuals were identified in Spain as being at risk of becoming victims of sexual exploitation or sex traffic. Since 2014, when there were around 14,000 people at risk, this number has plummeted until 2020, and has been on the rise in recent years.

According to the source, a person at risk is someone who has been identified during an administrative inspection in a place where prostitution is practiced while practicing such activity.
