Ratio of new and used motor vehicle purchases in Japan 2022
According to a survey conducted in May 2022, 63 percent of recent automobile buyers in Japan had purchased a new vehicle, while the other 37 percent had bought a used one. The vast majority stated having bought their car at a dealership of an automaker conglomerate.
