In 2022, the Southern District in Israel recorded almost 1.3 million visits to historical sites in its municipal area. This count was the highest among all the districts in the country, followed by the Northern District with almost 1.1 million visits. In contrast, the Central District registered the lowest number of visits, with 250.2 thousand stopovers at the sites in the district.
