In 2021, about 60.4 percent of female respondents who took part in a survey on financial well-being in New Zealand said they had a wealth-related financial goal of building savings. That same year, around 22.2 percent of male respondents said they wanted to explore new investment options such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
