U.S. adults are considerably more worried about the energy situation in the country in 2022 than they have been over the last decade. That year, 47 percent of respondents were greatly concerned about the availability and affordability of energy in the United States, according to a survey conducted from March 1 to March 18. This is up from 37 percent in the previous year and more than twice the percentage of concern in 2020, when the lowest figure within the displayed period was reported. The U.S. has seen fuel prices reaching new highs amid ongoing supply concerns following the Russia-Ukraine war.
