Public recognition of the importance of mental health services in China 2020
A survey conducted in 2020 revealed that almost 19 in 20 people in China recognized the importance of mental healthcare services. Compare to a survey conducted in 2008, the rate of recognition increased by 6.1 percent, reflecting the growing public awareness about mental health in the past decade. Among the people who did not recognize the importance of mental healthcare, the majority reported a lack of knowledge, while only a small group saw mental health services as unnecessary.
