TikTok’s popularity
TikTok's popularity continues to expand globally, with countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia presenting a reach of virtually over 100 percent as of the end of 2023. In October 2023, the social video platform boasted over 1.2 billion active monthly users, of which United States users represented the largest audience worldwide. U.S. users were particularly active on the platform, spending 32 percent of their online time engaging with TikTok as of February 2023.
TikTok’s global revenue
TikTok rapidly increased its revenue in the past years. In the third quarter of 2023, TikTok generated 681 million U.S. dollars in revenues from users worldwide. In 2024, it is projected that the social video platform will reach global ad revenue close to 18.5 billion.
