Nearly two thirds of Belarusians expected prices in their country to increase sharply in the following three months, according to a survey conducted in April 2022 during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, over 60 percent of respondents expected more sanctions would be imposed on Belarus for assisting Russia. Furthermore, more than one third believed there would food and other shortages in Belarus over that period.
