In December 2021, a worldwide survey found 61 percent of clinicians in China believed in ten years' time the majority of healthcare will be provided in a patient’s home instead of a healthcare setting (e.g. hospital/ clinic), the largest share among selected countries. On the other hand, a third of clinicians in the United States agreed that by 2031 the majority of healthcare will take place in a home setting.
