Production quantity of cocoa in Africa 2010-2022

Around 4.1 million metric tons of cocoa beans were produced in Africa in 2022. This slightly increased from the 4.02 million metric tons registered in the preceding year. Between 2010 and 2022, cocoa production steadily increased in the continent, except for small drops observed in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Africa is a leading exporter of cocoa beans, most of which come from Cote d'Ivoire.
