In 2022, a survey conducted among e-commerce merchants in Canada revealed a decline in the percentage of fraud costs related to online transactions. Conversely, the mobile channel experienced a rise in fraud costs among Canadian e-merchants, surpassing one-third of the total. Notably, fraudsters appeared to focus more on in-person and call center transactions.
