In 2020, Africa imported nearly 9,000 metric tons of cocoa beans. Compared to the previous year, this was a significant decrease. From 2010 onwards, imports of the agricultural product into Africa fluctuated, peaking in 2015 at over 20,000 metric tons. The continent is a leading producer of cocoa beans worldwide.
