Year-on-year growth rate of demat accounts in India FY 2016-2021
The number of demat accounts grew by about 35 percent in financial year 2021 across India. This was a steep increase from the previous year's growth rate of 14 percent in the country. The demat accounts are expected to play an important part in the growth of digital trading platforms in the coming years.
