Orion.Money held the top spot for having the highest voting power on the Terra blockchain, consequently holding roughly 1.5 billion USD worth of stakes. Staking pools work somewhat similar to a bank account, where one would submit money to be held and gains interest as time goes by. Then, the user would pick a pool available within that wallet to delegate his or her coins to, in the hopes of eventually getting the rewards of additional cryptocurrency. This interest mechanism is called "Proof-of-Stake" or PoS: people can commit - or "stake" - their own cryptocurrency to "validators" (sometimes also called staking pools) in exchange for rewards.
