According to a survey conducted among people that sought out medical care in Mexico in 2020, about 19 percent of those interviewed claimed that they did not receive services because health facilities only treated COVID-19. In that same year, around 14 percent of respondents stated not receiving medical care because the health facility was closed, and 13 percent of interviewees did not get medical attention because their health needs were not considered urgent.
