Canada: share of food purchases at local shops

In May 2021, 35 percent of Canadian consumers reported that less than ten percent of their total grocery purchases would be made at independently owned and operated stores or companies that are limited in size and revenue. On the other hand, only 3.3 percent intended for 80 percent or more of their grocery purchases to be made at local businesses.
