Factors considered in the review process for home loans in Japan 2022
In a survey conducted in 2022, around 98.7 percent of private financial institutions in Japan stated that they reviewed the applicant's age at the time of full repayment to evaluate home loan applications. Next to age, the collateral valuation and the applicant's health condition were among the most common criteria assessed for home loan approval.
