Indonesia is the largest FAME biodiesel producing market worldwide. In 2023, the Asian country reported a production of around 11.9 million metric tons. The EU and Brazil followed, ranking second and third, with a production volume of 10.9 and 6.6 million metric tons, respectively. The EU was also among the leading HVO biodiesel producers worldwide.
