According to a 2022 survey by the European Investment Bank, 28 percent of U.S. participants who felt climate change impacts on their everyday life also had interest in purchasing a fully-electric vehicle. In contrast, only one out of 10 respondents who felt climate change had no impact on everyday life would consider buying an electric vehicle.

The question "Do you feel that climate change has an impact on your everyday life?" was used to separate respondents in two groups: 668 respondents felt climate change has an impact on every day life, and 332 felt climate change had no impact on everyday life. Answers to the survey question were "Yes, very much so", "Yes, somewhat", "No, not really", and "No, not at all".
