Impacts from wildfires in Turkey August 2021

In 2021, ten people had been injured by wildfires in Turkey as of August 1. Meanwhile, the death toll stood at eight people. Wildfires have become more prevalent in the Mediterranean region. As of August 2021, 886 firefighting forces were deployed to suppress the fires, of which 828 firefighting vehicles, 45 helicopters, and 13 planes. In the previous year, 10,545 people worked alongside ground and aerial firefighting forces to suppress wildfires.
