
Opinions on cross-border e-commerce hurdles 2021
In an August 2021 survey, 73 percent of online shoppers surveyed in the U.S., Germany, Australia, and the UK believed that product returns would be more difficult with cross-border purchases. The second most common concerning aspect of shopping from abroad was the belief that delivery charges would be higher for international orders, as reported by 69 percent of respondents. Another concern among 66 percent of consumers was that cross-border purchases would arrive later than promised.
