According to a survey conducted in South Korea in December 2020, about half of the millionaires and semi-rich people surveyed said they had invested more in stocks following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 18 percent of respondents stated that this was not the case.

Millionaires are defined here as individuals who conduct transactions with domestic banks and have financial assets of one billion South Korean won or more.
Semi-rich individuals are defined here as people who conduct transactions with domestic banks and have financial assets of 100 million South Korean won or more.
1,000 South Korean won equals 0.83 U.S. dollars or 0.74 euros as of March 2022.
