According to a survey conducted in South Korea in December 2020, cash and bank deposits accounted for around 46 percent of millionaires' financial assets, followed by equities at around 20 percent. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, many millionaires increased their cash holdings and invested more in equities.
