In 2020, the largest share of 55 percent of agency workers in the Asia-Pacific region were employed in the services sector. In comparison, only three percent of agency workers in the region were emloyed in the agriculture and public administration sectors, respectively.
Agency work refers to a segment of the private employment services industry. It describes a triangular employment model in which the employee is under contract at a staffing agency but works for a third party client company.
