As of 2021, most Italians with a bank account preferred online banking over traditional banking channels. Mobile banking was particularly appealing for Italian account holders, with more than two-thirds of them declaring to favor it over other channels. Moreover, 56 percent of the respondent preferred to access banking services using a laptop or a PC.
