In 2020, online advertising accounted for the highest share of advertising expenditure in Finland. While other secotors' share in the total advertising expenditure declined over the years, the online sector had showed a steady increase from 16 percent in 2010 to 47 percent in 2020.

The source adds the following information: "The fgure applies to the so-called traditional media group categories. Kantar’s media advertising total fgure includes advertising at fairs, which is not included in Statistics Finland’s media advertising fgure. Announcements, notices, column advertisements and public ofces are not included in press advertising."
