Between July and September 2021, conversations about the metaverse on Facebook increased by a notable 689 percent when compared to the same period in the previous year. Conversations on the topic of Oculus, Meta's virtual reality headset, increased by 154 percent. Additionally, topics around virtual economy and virtual reality headsets also grew by 85 and 42 percent, respectively.
