Between January and December 2021, the use of #WokeWashing on Instagram increased 103 percent when compared to the previous year period. In addition, #DiversityAndInclusion usage grew by 85 percent on the photo and video sharing platform. Furthermore, #BIPOC, (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) had an increased usage of 55 percent.
