On March 9, 2022, Globo announced the suspension of its businesses with audiovisual content producers and broadcasters in Russia as a response to the country's invasion of Ukraine. As of that date, two telenovelas made and originally broadcast by the Rio de Janeiro-based TV channel were available on Russian free TV: "Anything for love" (1997-1998) and "The Clone" (2001-2002). Video streaming services in Russia offered five telenovelas and series produced by the Brazilian TV channel. They were "Brazil Avenue" (2012) – which is Globo's most exported telenovela of all time – "Above Justice" (2016), "Iron Island" (2018-2019), "Hidden Truths" (2015-2021), and "The Clone".
