The global production of corrugated board was estimated at 175 million tons in 2020. Corrugated board output is forecast to increase to more than 190 million tons by 2022. Corrugated board packaging is used for many products, such a electronics and food. It is also made of renewable wood fibers, and is therefore an alternative to plastic packaging.
