U.S. oil and petroleum products imports from Russia 1995-2022
In 2022, the imports of Russian crude oil and petroleum products in the United States reached the lowest figure over the past two decades, at approximately 53.8 million barrels. Between 2021 and 2022, the volume of imports dropped by 78 percent as a result of the U.S. ban on Russian oil imports due to the war in Ukraine.
