According to a survey from December 2021, 49 percent of the respondents in Vietnam preferred virtual influencers who looked feminine, whereas 39 percent in the Philippines preferred virtual influences with androgynous appearance. Meanwhile, respectively more than half of the respondents in Thailand and Singapore stayed neutral on the gender appearance of virtual influencers.
