Nearly eight in ten U.S. consumers purchased their groceries through mobile apps, according to a survey conducted in 2021. While 34 percent of respondents still relied on a computer to place their orders, five percent used a voice assistant to make their online orders.

According to the source, 21 percent of respondents lived in urban centers; 35 percent in large suburban regions; 17 percent in smaller metropolitan areas; and 27 percent across rural regions.
