Voting intention in Colombian presidential elections September 2021-April 2022
According to a survey conducted between September 2021 and April 2022, Gustavo Petro consolidated his position as the most preferred candidate for the Colombian presidential elections of May 29, 2022. In the span of eight months, the voting intention for the founding leader of the left political organization Colombia Humana grew by 21 percentage points, from 17 to 38 percent. The candidate of the conservative coalition Coalición Equipo por Colombia, Federico Gutiérrez, went from a voting intention of four percent in September 2021 to 24 percent in the latest survey. It is worth noticing that about eight percent of Colombians intended to cast a blank vote.
