The general public's concern that global climate change will harm them personally at some point in their lifetime has increased between 2015 and 2021. According to a 2021 survey, nearly 37 percent of residents in Germany were very concerned about climate change affecting them personally. In Japan, however, the share of respondents concerned about climate change saw a decline.
