In 2023, the biggest green bond issuer in China was the ICBC, the largest bank in the world in terms of its total assets, with over 11 billion U.S. dollars worth of bonds issued in 2023. The Industrial Bank, was the second-largest issuer in China, with 7.2 billion U.S. dollars.
