Around 34 percent of the urban population in Ghana used Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) as their primary source for cooking as of 2020. On the other hand, among rural communities, the share stood at 12.8 percent. Other sources for cooking in the country included electricity, charcoal, and firewood.
