Opinion regarding Spain's responsibility to join NATO in Ukraine 2022, by ideology

Overall, Spanish public opinion is slightly more positioned against than in favor of Spain joining NATO in a military intervention in support of Ukraine, according to a survey carried out in February 2022. Nevertheless, stances change depending on the political ideology of those surveyed. Among those who identified as left-wing, 59 percent were against Spain taking part in a military intervention, while this share went down to 46 percent in the case of right-wing supporters. Surveyed people identifying as centrists were equally torn between both positions.
