In 2022, 14 out of the 15 largest banks in the United States had a Tier 1 leverage ratio above five percent. Capital One reported the highest ratio, at 10.5 percent, followed by Citizens Bank and First Republic, with 9.3 percent and 8.5 percent, respectively. Among the largest banks, only TD Bank reported a Tier 1 leverage ratio below five percent.
