The capacity for renewable energy in India has increased in recent years. As of June 2021, the installed solar rooftop capacity amounted to some 7,701 megawatts in the South Asian country. Roughly 71 percent of this figure corresponds to the OPEX business model, with an installed capacity of 5,505 megawatts. On the other hand, the CAPEX model accounted for some 2,196 megawatts of the installed solar rooftop capacity in the country.
