The Italian national recovery and resilience plan after COVID-19 includes funding (3.7 billion euros) for the "Italia 1 Giga" project to improve fixed broadband, 5G, and satellite connectivity throughout the country, planned for 2026. Sardinia will received the highest amount of money, around 356.27 million euros.
