According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in December 2020 in India, 29 percent of consumers stated that their frequency of shopping at department stores or shopping malls has somewhat increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, 28 percent of respondents stated that their shopping frequency has increased during the coronavirus pandemic.
