Over the next 30 years, the economic damage associated with flood in commercial buildings is expected to experience the largest increase across the Gulf and east coast of the contiguous United States. In Louisiana, economic damage due to flood is expected to nearly triple between 2022 and 2052. Overall, the economic damage due to floods in commercial buildings is expected to grow by nearly 30 percent across the U.S. in the 2022-2052 period.
