The year-over-year change in the consumption volume of the Italian chemical industry oscillated from 2020 to 2021. Italy's domestic chemical consumption was 8.2 percent lower in 2020 than it was the previous year, but it recovered in 2021, with an 8.5 percent increase compared to 2020. It is forecast that the Italian chemical industry's consumption of chemicals will increase by a further 3.5 percent in 2022 compared to 2021.
